Description
*** THE WATERMARK DOES NOT APPEAR ON THE ACTUAL CARD *** On Monday, September 5, 1932 at Griffith Stadium in Washington, 25-year-old rookie catcher Hank Patterson was a late-innings replacement behind the plate for Boston starter Bennie Tate. Patterson got one trip to the plate in what proved to be his only major league appearance. Note that the uniform pictured is from 1931, so the original photo was likely made during spring training of '32.
